During the '80s, the Pablo label instituted a series of live albums by their prime stars. This one featured guitarist Joe Pass, and like several Pass dates done in concert, there was more energized playing. Pass' big, sustained tones, carefully constructed solos, and generally impressive technique were demonstrated with a minimum of flair. by Ron Wynn
