VIRUS — Revelation (1971-2013) FLAC (tracks+.cue), lossless

Virus, from the Bielefeld area in Westphalia, were the best and most famous local progressive group in the early seventies. In 1970, they won the well-known competition in the Recklinghausen Vestlandhalle – still under their old name of Man’s World. The first prize: Recordings for their first own LP, under the direction of sound magician Conny Plank. That LP, "Revelation", was released in 1971 and is partly reminiscent of the early Pink Floyd, e. g. in the final part of "Endless game". On the CD edition on Garden of Delights, the two songs of the first Virus 7” single have been added as bonus tracks. The second Virus LP, "Thoughts", which was released on Pilz at the end of 1971, will soon be available as CD on Garden of Delights as well, again providing two bonus tracks. GOD

VIRUS — Thoughts (1971-2014) FLAC (tracks+.cue), lossless

Virus, from the Bielefeld area in Westphalia, were the best and most famous local progressive group there in the early seventies. Their first LP, “Revelation”, was released in 1971 and is partly reminiscent of the early Pink Floyd. The second and last Virus LP, “Thoughts”, was recorded with a different line-up, again under the direction of Conny Plank, and it was released on the legendary Pilz label at the end of 1971. The LP is no longer as twisted as the first one had been, and its tracks are shorter. It certainly, however, meets the expectations inspired by the Pilz label. The CD edition has been provided with two bonus tracks, which are now to be heard on a Virus CD for the very first time. The 32-page booklet leaves nothing to be desired. GOD

VIRUS — Remember (1973-2004) FLAC (tracks+.cue), lossless

In 1971 the well-known Virus from the area of Bielefeld released two LPs: "Revelation" on BASF and "Thoughts" on Pilz. When the Pilz label went down the drain, they needed to restrict themselves to live gigs only. One of those took place on 4/28/1973 at the largest studio of the radio station WDR in Cologne. The gig at the "Großer Sendesaal" was later transmitted on a radio show and can be heard now on the CD "Remember". Except for "King Heroin", which was already known from "Thoughts", only fresh tracks can be found, which are not known from other LPs. Here Virus don't seem to be as flourished as on "Revelation", but played more rock - a development which was already suggested on "Thoughts". In the adjunctive booklet you can find the band's story in detail, every cover and label as repros, a complete discography etc. GOD
