NECRONOMICON — Tips Zum Selbstmord (1972-2004) Two Version | APE + FLAC (image+.tracks+.cue), lossless

Sounds like Uriah Heep with German lyrics by Floh de Cologne. One of the most looked for and expensive LPs in the German rock area. Thus, quite some bootleg versions are on the market, too. How to distinguish between the legal and the illegal versions is fully described in the CD's booklet, varified label repros. With their lyrics the musicians from Aachen wanted to draw attention to the environmental destruction, the overspill population, thoughtlessness and oppression. Consequently, they sang in German, as to make everybody, at least in the German speaking community, understand their message. The four long tracks, which can be heard additionally, were taken from the 4LP set "Vier Kapitel" (Four Chapters). They now have a better sound, which is quite audible. In the booklet you can find just everything a collector's heart desires. GOD

NECRONOMICON — Strange Dreams (1976-2009) Two Version | WV + FLAC (image+.tracks+.cue), lossless

Necronomicon from Aachen are known for their LP "Tips zum Selbstmord" from 1972 which contains very tart lyrics in German. It was released in a complex fold-out cover and is today traded at about €1000 in mint condition. You have to beware, however, of counterfeits. Some until then unreleased tracks of the group appeared on the quadruple LP “Vier Kapitel” [“four chapters”] in 1990. In 1976, there was the first split of Necronomicon; that same year, however, also saw the band’s reunion, partly with new artists. They now used English lyrics instead of German ones, and the lyrics weren’t by far as critical as they had been before. The tracks were shorter, the music somehow more complex. The CD “Strange dreams” contains ten until then unreleased tracks recorded at rehearsals and three from a gig in Herzogenrath near Aachen in 1976. GOD
