The accessible, inventive approach of this young pianist is nicely showcased on this quartet set. With the help of sax players like Mark Turner and Joshua Redman, Goldberg runs through strong originals as well as a few well-chosen standards, such as the easy swinging "The Shadow of Your Smile," and Dizzy Gillespie's "Con Alma." Stand-outs include the elliptical "Head Trip," and the lyrical "Fantasy in D." Tim Sheridan
