The clarity of expression is mostly excellent with well defined phrasing and clear attention to the staccato sections. Even the addition of the solo stops in Sonata 1 is well handled. There are just a few places where the playing is not as transparaent as the score inficates (sounds fluffy) but there are not many of these.
This album will give years of pleasure both for listening and as a guide to playing the sonatas. amazon
