Who does not know Joy Fleming? Less known is the fact that in the early seventies she and her band Joy Unlimited released highbrow LPs that cannot be compared with what she is doing today. “Schmetterlinge” (butterflies) was released on the Pilz label in 1971. The CD edition comes with four bonus tracks from 1971: first the “Neckarbrücken-Blues” in an early radio version of Joy Unlimited; the master tape was provided by SWR Media. Then “All heaven and all earth” from the Pilz LP “Heavy Christmas” that makes fun of the Christmas cult. And finally “Silvergun” and “Peace train” from their fourth single. GOD
