EL SHALOM — Frost (1976-2001) FLAC (tracks+.cue), lossless

El Shalom managed to produce a record, "Frost", which would appeal to lovers of different styles of music on the same LP. Five boys from Rheinhausen - since 1975 a suburb of Duisburg - combined their various musical preferences to record their only LP in the Düsseldorf Willy Neubauer Studio in 1976. This LP (Attacca 2 / 7625) is an multi-layered opus, with lyrics both in German and English. These five conscientious objectors to compulsory military service deliberately chose the name El Shalom (Hebrew for "pursuing peace"). In 1978, they released a 7"-single entitled "Birthday song" / "Geld" (Attacca AT 78114), recorded in Dieter Dierks’s studio, the B-side of which was already part of the LP but in an entirely different version. The CD contains these two tracks together with another two, so far unreleased songs. 32-page colour booklet. GOD
