Widor's Allegro from Symphony No. 6 and Salve Regina were recorded on October 16, 1957; Franck's Pièce Héroïque and Chorale No. 1, on October 14th; and Chorale Nos. 2 and 3, on October 15 of that same year. All works were recorded on half-inch three-track tape in St. Thomas Church in New York City, using one 201 and two M56 Telefunken microphones. The Franck pieces were first released as SR90168 and the Allegro and Salve Regina were released on SR90169.
