Tenor saxophonist Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis is in top form during this European quartet set (put out domestically at one time by Inner City) with pianist Thomas Clausen, bassist Bo Stief and drummer Alex Riel. Lockjaw romps through such numbers as "Swingin' Till the Girls Come Home," a rapid rendition of "Love for Sale," his original "Locks" and "Indiana." Fun, accessible and mostly hard-swinging straightahead music. Scott Yanow
